Overall appearance: Taenar is a smaller bat with black soft fur that has slight silvery sheen to it, black wings that are quite large for his small size and a fairly long tail that is connected to his wings with a membrane. He has medium-sized ears that connect in a V-shape on his forehead and a wrinkled face typical for a barbastelle.
He has a white plastic band on his left wing wrist with the number 256 358591

Taenar is that type of bat that is at the first look sociable, friendly and listening to others. The problem is - he is friendly and listening towards everyone he thinks would be of use to him, and would quickly abandon them if someone better appears, for the one he cares about the most is him. He is clever and many-sided, playing in multiple teams and not being very loyal to his "friends". He is flexible and can easily adapt to the social ways of others. He can be manipulative and silver-tongued, using these abilities to make others trust him and, although they don't know it, do what he wants.

*Personal history: Taenar wasn't raised by his real parents. It's in fact unknown where did he come from, for there weren't any barbastelles in Ancient Oaks in that time, their only habitat being the Old Farm. So there were rumors that he comes from here.
But everyone knows how did he get in Ancient Oaks - humans. Everyone that sees him can tell by looking at his left wing where he has a white band.
As a bat pup he was found by humans, banded and brought to the forest when he just learned how to fly. And hhere despite his mark, he was taken in and taken care of by a family of northern bats.
But even though he was treated and raised like their real son, the father of the family still favoured his two biological children, causing Taenar to have a bitter feeling towards them.
