Overall appearance: A large, muscular gannet with large black tipped wings and a golden toasted head
Significant features (if any): Large wings that fold tightly and easily allowing for effortlessly speedy flight and powerful striking
*Personality: Kinsey is extremely loyal to Silverhook and the pirates, so much so that he doesn't know that the pirates' plundering and savagery is wrong. He was recruited into their ranks at a young age, and his active spirit and yearning to fight quickly raised him up among the ranks. He is highly admired by his comrades, especially for his clever plans and devious ways. He will do whatever it takes to get what he, and the rest of the pirates, want. He's always ready and waiting for a fight, always planning and anticipating. He is constantly working to better himself. He expects his fellow pirates to be the same way, which many of them think is very demanding of him, but he really doesn't give a shit. He has his own set ideas and morals, and he's not going to let anyone's feelings change that.

Negative: Amoral, demanding, abrasive, aggressive
Neutral: Fierce, narrow-minded, tough, devious

Fears: He says he doesn't have any, but really he's afraid of being confined (tight spaces)
Ambitions/goals: To become the leader of Silverhook's pirates
*Rank: Quartermaster
*Personal history: Kinsey was born in a little nesting colony on the coast to a single loving but not well-off mother, along with a brother, Elias, and two sisters. Their father had died before they were born. The neighboring birds helped, but their mother was mostly responsible for feeding all four siblings, and she struggled. When they were barely fledglings, their mother took them out to practice flying; she was trying to rush the learning process as much as possible so that the little birds could go out and hunt for their hungry family as soon as they were able. The little fledglings were still afraid to fly, and one sister refused to leave the nest. Their mother knew it wasn't a good idea, but she had to feed her family and she was struggling to do it on her own. Their sister was entrusted to a family of Gannets nearby while they practiced. She wandered off just slightly, but when they came back, only a few dark feathers were left of her.
Devastated, Kinsey's mother fell into a dark depression, and she blamed herself for the young fledgling's death. Since she was unable to take care of the family, and he was the largest of the three remaining siblings, Kinsey took the head. One day he and his remaining sister came back from a hunting trip to his mother coughing ceaselessly. Elias said she had just started, but she didn't stop. She continued to get worse, losing her strength day by day, until one day she passed. After his mother died, those were the some of the coldest days of his life. Kinsey saw that there was nothing left for him where he was; his sister and brother were old enough to care for themselves (young teenagers), and though he cared for them, he felt he should go his own way. There had been to much death in that nest for him to want to stay. He gained a newfound contempt for his this lifestyle; it was merciless and cold, with no point but to survive. Elias was hurt by Kinsey's sudden leaving, but he turned his back on his brother anyway. After he left, he was raided by a group of vicious pirates; specifically, Silverhook's. Having nowhere to go, he pleaded to join them. He was hardly a teenager at the time, but he was taken hostage. For some reason, Silverhook never killed him; maybe it was his cleverness or his willingness to fight, but she took him in. He found a new meaning in the pirates, and he worked tirelessly to better himself, and he moved quickly up among the ranks. Silverhook was the one to give him his nickname, King.
*Current home: Along the coast, with Silverhook and her pirates.
