Morning rays of sun shined down through the leaves of the large trees around the small blue jay's nest. With a few blinks, the loner fluttered as she woke. She ruffled her feathers a bit as she stood, stepping out of the nest and onto a branch. Lina let out a soft chirp as she stretched her wings and took off, flying to the ground and quickly looking around for some acorns, her favorite food. The many oaks surrounding her home left plenty of acorns lying around, so this was never really a hard task for the small bird. She spotted a rather large acorn and began to peck at it, enjoying her morning meal.

It was one of those mornings. One of those mornings where little to no other bird was awake. One these morning, a beige colored fowl would decide to travel a bit away from Villa Corvida, just for her own curiosity. But being healer in training, Aya always reminded herself to search the trees for helpful herbs that could help any fowl in need.
The bohemian waxwing had decided to stop by the Ancient Oaks, it had been a while since the trainee had been there. Long wings flapped against her side as she flew over the large trees that marked the Ancient Oaks.
Aya decided to land on a tree branch, unknowing that the tree she was resting on was near a blue jay loner that was having a small meal.
The young female narrowed her dark red eyes at the different things that were in the place, searching for anything that may be useful to Villa Corvida. She didn't notice the other fowl, for she looking in a different direction than the other was.

Lina froze as she heard movement. Whatever it was, was extremely close to the small bird. She could either flee, though the other creature might fly faster than her, or she could see who had approached her nest. Though the creature did not sound too heavy when it landed perhaps it was just another small bird looking for a bit of shelter?
Lina decided to stay put, this was her home after all. She slowly turned around to see the newcomer. A small bird, just as she had thought. She mustered up a bit of courage and spoke with a soft tone. "Um, hello?" She managed to say two words before her anxiety made her freeze up again. mangoh | I don't mind at all! ^_^ |

The beige colored fowl was about to stretch her wings to fly back to Villa Corvida when a voice called out to her. The young trainee turned her head towards a blue jay that was on the ground, previously pecking at an acorn. Aya ruffled her feathers silently, perhaps she was in the other bird's home.
Aya's clever eyes observed the blue jay quietly, she was a small bird, perhaps a bit bigger than Aya was. And she did seem to be ridden with anxiety.
Aya flicked her feathered tail quietly before answering the blue jay, "Oh, hello. Sorry, I didn't know another bird was here. I was just looking for something for my residence, I can leave if you want."
The fowl spoke in a reassuring voice. No, Aya was not a threat to any bird.

Lina relaxed a bit, her nerves subsiding for the moment. The other bird didn't seem like a threat, but one can never be too careful. "Oh, no. You don't have to leave." She paused for a moment, thinking over what the other bird had just said. "What are you looking for?" Her tone was gentle, complimented by her naturally soft voice. Though she wore a rather intrigued expression.
She paused for a moment. Her eyes widening for just a moment. "Oh I'm sorry, how rude of me! I haven't even introduced myself yet. My name is Lina, what is yours?" |
