The first ones who ever had something similar to a civilisation were the jaguars. They had what is called the Aztec Empire
Rise and fall of the Aztec Empire
Written by Snakeu
A long time ago, in the depths of the Jungle, there was an old abanodoned human temple, left by an ancient civilisation, whose dark, cruel souls were defeated by the rising power of the nature, and so they left.
But the strenght of nature was unstoppable and in the old temple different creatures began to live: the jaguars. Normally solitary animal joined into a group. After their community became huge, they started to call themselves the Aztec Empire, after the name of the human civilisation that gifted them with their new home.
This empire was first at peace with the other species of the Jungle for a long time. But then everything changed…
One day their righteous emperor, Mecatl the First, died from unknown reasons, and his son, Mecatl the Second, came to the throne too young, still not having finished his training. The power he got over the empire darkened his mind and soul, and made him think that now with this power he can make the whole jungle worship him, as if he was one of the Ancients. In his opinion, the jaguars, being larger and stronger than the others, are superior creatures, and the others, birds and bats, are good enough to only work as their slaves..
For years this cruel system remained the same.
But far from the claws of the Empire lived small unnoticed groups of escapees, once slaves that somehow tore away from the opression of jaguars, many of them still having family in temple. And so they planned an attack to free their families and other slaves. But the Aztecs' patrols were around all the time, and when one of the jaguar scouts came back to the empire with news that the rebels are planning attack, Mecatl ordered to kill the rebels' families that they held in the temple.
Shortly after, leaders of the small rebellious groups called a secret meeting. Their leaders, Kabil for birds and Citlali for bats, decided to form an alliance, and shortly after, they planned an attack on the temple.
This caused only one of the big cracks that started the downfall of the jaguar empire. Another one was the old emperor’s four sons.
As Mecatl's life was slowly coming to it's end, he told his four sons to rule pver the empire together, so they stay powerful amd unbreakable. But the young jaguars had their own plans with the empire, and all four brothers turned against each other.
Each of them gathered his own group of followers and a war started. Because they were so focused on battling each other, they weren't paying enough attention to the increasing attacks of the rebelling bats and birds. The former slaves were eating away the empire piece by piece by small, unnoticed attacks. The warring jaguars took care of the rest.
As the war continued, soldiers were dying on all sides, and the numbers were weakening. Finally, one brother won, and banished all those who sided with the defeated. The empire grew even smaller. The one who stayed couldn't expect a nice future, either. A plague that any shaman didn't know how to heal appeared and nearly half of the surviving population of the empire fell as victims to the disease.
These three disasters are now known as Mecatl's Punishment, amd are believed to be the work of the Ancients.
The Aztec Empire fell down on it's knees, and what it is now, is a mere shadow of its former greatness. For hundreds of years they were hiding in the jungle, trying to return to their former glory. But who knows what happens next?

Not long before the winged classes in the Jungle revolted, a group of five bats were travelling through the Irbis Mountains, and by accident, they found a large cave system today known as the Endless Caves. The five bats brought their families there and became the first elders.
Somewhen around that time a vulture named Mtulu was born. She was a wise bird who thought not only of herself, but also of others, and when a devastating drought she brought a group of desert birds together for better chances of survival, and became the first chief of Mtulu's Tribe, named Mtulu the First.
Villa Corvida, although being the second-youngest group to form, is one of the most well-known. It's a bird kingdom situated in an abandoned mountain village, and founded by the raven Corvus a hundred years ago.
The youngest and smallest, but the most fierce are Silverhook's Pirates, a savage flock of seabirds who cruise the skies above The Ocean and mercilessly rob others of their food. They were brought together by a female frigatebird Corine also known as Silverhook.
