Culture
Just like in the real world, on Suodimi there are many cultural differences, traditions, stereotypes and superstitions.
Society
Villa Corvida
Similar to medieval towns of Europe in government, traditions and behavior of it's citizens. Habitants of this city-kingdom are often proud, well-mannered and, some say, they think that they are the center of the world.
But just like in a medieval town, under all that glitter and well-behaved ctizens, there are many poor and thieves.
Endless Caves
Not very different from ancient Greece or Rome, bats of Endless Caves emphasize intellect and are very progressive; also generally calmer and more welcoming towards strangers. But newcomers don't have all the rights as the older residents have. They cannot vote for the elders' deputies, can't fight in wars, and even their children are considered newcomers, even though they were born in Endless Caves
Mtulu's Tribe
Just like many african tribes today, even Mtulu's Tribe is primitive and shamanistic, their warriors relying on their claws or simple weapons. Because of their harsh habitat and number of predators they are highly wary and untrusting towards strangers. If you wated to join them, you would have to walk a long path of earning their trust and undergo a ritual that reveals if you are worthy of joining them or not.
Aztec Empire
Practically identical to it's real-life human counterpart. Felines of the Empire are fierce, fearless and honorable warriors who highly respect their emperor and their Ancients. But thanks to their history and way of pleasing their Ancients they earned a mark of brutal and vicious beasts.
Silverhook's Pirates
Pretty much just an usual flock of seabirds, but they are led under stricter rules of their captain. For living they rob other birds of their prey.
Group of Dragon's Blood Islands (wip)
A quite unusual group when it comes to it's members, for it consists of both birds and bats. They are peaceful, don't know wars and they welcome all strangers with open wings.
The gangs of the City (wip)
Two mafian gangs consisting of pigeons, magpies and other city birds with rivalry constantly burning between them.

Trials
At the end of their training, all novices, trainees and apprentices must complete a Trial that will test their skills. Each larger group has their own Trial, unique and typical for the group's habitat and requirements.
Villa Corvida
In the famous bird kingdom young birds will have to complete a track in the mountains above Villa Corvida. They will have to fly through a marked path, deal with various obstacles and thin mountain air. At the same time they will have to collect all serapes of their assigned color.
Endless Caves
Bats who finish their training have a final test that is - climbing the steepest and tallest cave wall by using only their claws, climb up to the smaller cavern at the top, find a shard of quartz and fly down to show it to the elders that watch them, to show that they passed.
Aztec Empire
Apprentices are taken to the jungle where they have to fend by themselves for three days and before their return they have to hunt down a bird which they will bring to the priests as a sacrifice to the Ancients. The apprentice will keep the bird's feather as a decoration of choice (earring, necklace etc.)
Mtulu's Tribe
The desert tribe has a very unique Trial, as it doesn't test the individual's physical skills, but instead is more of an accepting ritual where the spirits approve that the young bird is worthy of becoming a part of the tribe. The apprentice is stung by a scorpion and given special herbs to eat. After they fall into a trance, they should receive a sign from the spirits. After they wake up and tell the sign to the shaman, he interprets it, plucks one of the apprentice's primaries and hangs it on a string next to the feathers of other tribe memebers. The apprentice then receives an epithet to their name depending on the sign they got from the spirits.
If they don't get any sign, they are considered as not being accepted by the spitits and are exiled from the tribe.
Strangers who wish to join the tribe must go through this Trial as well.
Group of Dragon's Blood Islands (wip)
Their trial is also very unique, for the ones who pass receive a completely new name, their former name is usually not used anymore. On their trial they choose a stone that is unique and special only to them. In their adulthood they will wear the stone in a necklace all the time, and the new name they receive is the name of their chosen stone.

Astronomy
Northern hemisphere
Here are the stars only, without any lines
Here they are with lines that connect them into constellations
And here they are also with drawings of the things they represent, for those who lack imagination to see them
Southern hemisphere
Both hemispheres are divided into 12 parts, each part for each month, starting from the top part for January and going clockwise.
That means that the constellation "Armadillo" will be visible only in August, Cricket in November, ect..
The big red star in Northern hemisphere in the May sectionis called "Heart of Icaronycteris, and the huge yellow star in Southern hemisphere in the November section is called (obviously) "Eye of Smilodon". Both are important for navigation.
The "Fireflies" are a star cluster, and are said to be there so babies won't be afraid at night.
