*Personal history: Since ner birth Icara loved with her mother and no one else, being a rare species. Her mother named her Icara after the highest Ancient in hope of ensuring luck and protection for her only daughter, and taught her everything the young bat needed to know to survive. Just shortly after Icara learned to fly properly, her mother was snatched away by a harpy eagle, leading Icara to fear and despise all birds of prey, and distrust birds in general.
The hole in her wing comes from a quarrel with a Paradise crow who seized the hollow she lived in, the bird tore her wing which didn't heal properly, and sometimes causes difficulity when flying
